After nearly six months if of not much tripping around we are about to set off again. This time it is back to the UK to visit Jessica and Andrew and also to visit new sights and places. We won't be sad to leave the cold temperatures behind, especially the -10s we have been experienced in the last week in Central Otago. Even the drive out to Canterbury was treacherous. We decided the 'pig route' through to Palmerston was the best route. The biggest clue to realising it wasn't ideal driving conditions was that there were no other motorists on the road!
Once we got to Ranfurly the road was clear again and driving was fine. The snow was still thick on Fraser's farm when we left the car there this morning. So summer here we come.
