Saturday was a cultural outing as well as a birthday party. My friend Dave was 60 (actually it doesn't seem that long ago that I was at his 40th!!!) and as good luck would have it we were here in Christchurch to help him celebrate. We arrived in time to see the haggis being piped into the venue and Dave's father in law, Mac, addressed it in his usual fine form.
Lots of laughter and reminiscing took place and as the evening progressed the Irish three piece band warmed up and kept us both entertained and exercised as we danced the night away.
A good night was had by all.
